Credit Authorization
Last updated: September 11, 2026
When you submit a loan request on loanpathway.info, you agree to the following authorization. Please read it carefully.
1. Written Instructions Under the Fair Credit Reporting Act
By checking the box on our form and submitting your request, you are providing "written instructions" under the federal Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), 15 U.S.C. § 1681 et seq., authorizing [Company legal name — to be added] ("LoanPathway"), our lead-distribution partner Lending Revenue (lendingrevenue.net), and the lenders and lead buyers in its network to:
- Obtain consumer reports and related information about you from one or more consumer reporting agencies, such as Equifax, Experian or TransUnion, or from specialty consumer reporting agencies;
- Use that information to evaluate your request, verify your identity, prevent fraud, and determine whether they can make you an offer; and
- Share your request and related information with lenders and other parties in the network for these purposes.
2. Soft and Hard Inquiries
A lender or partner may obtain your credit information through a "soft" inquiry, a "hard" inquiry, or both:
- Soft inquiry: Often used to prequalify you or verify information. Soft inquiries are visible only to you and do not affect your credit score.
- Hard inquiry: Usually made when you apply with a specific lender for credit. Hard inquiries appear on your credit report and may affect your credit score.
Submitting a request on our Site does not by itself cause a hard inquiry by LoanPathway, because we do not obtain credit reports ourselves. Each lender will tell you about its own credit practices, including whether and when it will perform a hard inquiry. If you are unsure, ask the lender before you complete its application.
3. Verification of Information
You also authorize LoanPathway, our partners and lenders to verify the information you provide, including your identity, employment, income, bank account and address. Verification may involve contacting your employer, checking with your bank or using third-party identity and fraud-prevention services.
4. Duration
This authorization applies to your current loan request and to the evaluation of that request by the lenders and partners that receive it. A lender with whom you open an account may also obtain consumer reports later, for example to review or collect your account, as permitted by law and its own agreement with you.
5. Your Rights
You have the right to a free copy of your credit report from each nationwide credit reporting agency, which you can request at annualcreditreport.com. If a lender takes adverse action based on information in a consumer report, it must tell you and give you the name of the agency that provided the report. You have the right to dispute inaccurate information with the credit reporting agency.
6. Questions
For questions about this authorization, contact [Company legal name — to be added] at [email protected] or [(000) 000-0000 — to be added]. For questions about a specific lender's credit check, contact that lender directly. See also our Privacy Policy and Lending Policy.
