Frequently Asked Questions
Are you a lender?
No. LoanPathway is not a lender. We do not make loans, make credit decisions or broker loans. We provide a free service that sends your loan request, through our distribution partner Lending Revenue, to lenders and lead buyers that may make you an offer. See our Lending Policy.
Does it cost anything?
No. Submitting a request through LoanPathway is free. We are paid by lenders and partners, not by you. If you accept a loan, the lender's interest and fees will apply, and they will be shown to you before you sign. See our Advertiser Disclosure.
Will submitting a request affect my credit score?
Submitting a request on our site does not by itself affect your credit score. However, lenders that receive your request may check your credit. This may include soft inquiries, which do not affect your score, and hard inquiries, which may appear on your credit report and may affect your score. Each lender will tell you about its own practices. See our Credit Authorization.
Can I submit a request if I have bad credit?
Yes. Lenders in our network consider requests from people with all types of credit. However, approval is not guaranteed, and your credit history may affect whether you receive an offer and the rate you are offered.
How soon could I receive funds?
If you accept an offer and complete the lender's process, funds may arrive as soon as the next business day. Actual timing depends on the lender, the time of day you finish, and your bank.
What are the rates and terms?
Lenders in our network offer loans from $1,000 to $5,000, with repayment terms from 91 days to 72 months and APRs from 5.99% to a maximum of 35.99%. Your actual rate and terms are set by the lender. See our Rates & Fees page for examples.
Why do you ask for my Social Security number and bank account?
Lenders need your Social Security number to verify your identity, prevent fraud and review your credit history. Your bank account details allow a lender to deposit the funds and set up repayments if you accept a loan. These details are sent over an encrypted connection to our distribution partner and its lenders, and we do not keep them in our own database.
Is my information secure?
Your information is transmitted using 256-bit TLS encryption. We keep only limited records, and lenders and partners that receive your request protect it under their own policies. See our Privacy Policy for details.
Who will contact me?
If you consented, you may be contacted by phone, text or email by LoanPathway, our distribution partner, and the lenders and marketing partners that receive your request. See our Marketing Partners page.
How do I stop calls, texts or emails?
Reply STOP to any text message, click the unsubscribe link in any email, or ask a caller to put you on their do-not-call list. You can also email [email protected] to revoke your consent with us. Because partners contact you under their own policies, you may need to opt out with each one. See our Contact Us page.
Which states are eligible?
Our service is available to U.S. residents in most states, but not in all. We currently do not accept requests from residents of New York or Illinois. Loan availability and terms may also vary by state.
